She always make super artistic and over-the-top videos but this one really really blew my mind!
Riri finally released her long awaited 8th album ,ANTI. I’ve been a huge fan of hers since forever and I was anticipating for this LP just like the rest of the #RihannaNAVY. She kept teasing us with non album singles which got increasingly bold. After “Bitch Better Have My Money” , I truly expected this album to be extremely bold, and as dauntless as her current image.
“Me” is the first proper studio album by Lorely Rodriguez, who goes by the alias “Empress Of”. I really hadn’t heard of her before this album but she really captivated me with her self-styled dream-pop electronic sound that she calls “Me”. This LP is entertaining in itself as her producing skills are incredible but the lyrics are also quite stellar, with Rodriguez digging deep into her personal thoughts, and letting herself be vulnerable and open with this project. My favorite song is definitely “How Do You Do It” which almost always makes me want to get up and dance no matter where I play it. I’m obsessed with her instrumentally and lyrically raw music which still manages to fit into a pop or EDM playlist. More people need to know about this lady.
Inna is one of my favorite pop artists of this generation. She’s given Romanian pop a huge push this year with her hit singles “Bop Bop” and “Yalla”.. I love her specifically cause she sings in so many different languages giving her an international appeal. Lovers of pop and electro/house will really enjoy her latest eponymous album.
This is a really late review but that’s because I only got my hands on this album this week. Lame right? But I bet there’s still loads of people out there who haven’t heard of this trio from London. Consisting of Olly Alexander(lead singer & keyboard), Mikey Goldsworthy(bass guitar) and Emre Turkmen (keyboard), Years and Years is a British electronica trio whose music blends elements of R&B, 90’s house and synth pop creating a distinguishable intoxicating sound.
You know it still feels like “Ultraviolence” was released a week ago, it still sounds so fresh every time I listen to it and yet Lana is already back with a new album. I wasn’t at all ready for this. When she randomly released the title track “Honeymoon” I didn’t really know what to expect of the entire album to come. The song is typical Lana , a blue-eyed soul ballad with very dark and self-deprecating lyrics but she later surprised us when she released the first single of the album “High by the beach”, which has a trap-pop beat and somewhat laid back lyrics.
