I’M BACK! Damn it feels good to be back. It’s really been a long time coming.Let’s jump right in shall we? First I’d like to thank Jay Z for giving me the inspiration to review music again. I guess Jay decided to follow in his wife’s footsteps and drop the album unexpectedly because he really doesn’t need the extra marketing, right? I think 2017 kinda needed an album like this. I feel like there’s been so much going on but when a Jay Z album comes out we all just stop and listen. Also, as a hip-hop head , I’ve missed those classic hip-hop beats that I would normally hear in a classic Hip-hop album. Don’t get me wrong… I hoped on the trap train this year and I’ve enjoyed listening to Migos and the likes but I’ve had an appetite for some real lyricism. So yeah, thank you Jay.

This album also features a high number of features from a former industry non-entity known as Joe Fox whom Rocky met on a chance encounter in London. He appears on a staggering third of this album’s tracks (Approximately 5 out of 18). Continue reading
My relationship with this German born producer and DJ is really funky. A few years ago I was tweeting “What is a Zedd?” and now I’m such a huge fan of his work. When he dropped his sophomore LP, “True Colors” , I couldn’t wait to hear his growth from debut album “Clarity” which in itself gained him millions of fans and made him a house-hold name in Electronic Dance music today.
“I AIN’T BEEN OUTSIDE IN A MINUTE I’VE BEEN LIVING WHAT I WROTE…”
Earl Sweatshirt is angry. That’s understandable given what he’s gone through. His rise to stardom as part of the “indie-rap” skate rap collective Odd Future as his experience when he was sent for a term in a Samoan School for troubled youths immediately after his stellar mixtape “EARL”.
