Riri finally released her long awaited 8th album ,ANTI. I’ve been a huge fan of hers since forever and I was anticipating for this LP just like the rest of the #RihannaNAVY.  She kept teasing us with non album singles which got increasingly bold. After “Bitch Better Have My Money” , I truly expected this album to be extremely bold, and as dauntless as her current image.

When I first listened to Raury’s debut mixtape “Indigo Child” I thought it was a step too far. The mixtape combined hip hop with elements of folk, indie , soul and rock. With songs like “The Devil’s Whisper” and “Cigarette Song” , the Atlanta native got a lot of hype which earned him a spot on the XXL freshmen list. From De La Soul to A.S.A.P Rocky, Marvel will release a series of over 50 different covers paying tribute to  various classic and contemporary rap albums. I’m a HUGE comic book fan and a hip hop head so when I saw these covers I literally spazzed out. It’s so cool to see the two worlds come together so seamlessly. “For years, Marvel Comics and hip-hop culture have been engaged in an ongoing dialogue,”  Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso said in press release. “Beginning this October, we will shine a spotlight on relationship between those two unique forces.”  Continue reading

Album Review: Sam Smith- IN THE LONELY HOUR

He later appeared in Naughty Boy’s smash hit “La La” before ambushing us with “In the Lonely Hour” , his debut album, which is supposedly a love letter to a man who never returned Sam’s feelings. Yes, he’s gay.

So lately I’ve been listening to A LOT of amazing music and then I realized most of it was from E.P’s. For those who might not know and E.P(short for Extended Play) is a musical recording that contains for than one single but it’s too short to qualify as a full studio album.

I’m going to review some of the best E.Ps I’ve listened to recently because I think you should all listen to this music which I think is exceptionally good.
