This is a very very late post. I did the review a long time ago but forgot to post it but here it is anyway!
By the time I was born, Barry White was already winning lifetime achievement awards and being referred to as a legend of soul music. It’s kind of interesting that now, 21 years later, I have come to be a huge fan of his. Honestly, I’m probably one of the few people of my age who spend a large amount of time listening to the classics rather than bumping the latest Lil Uzi Vert. I’m not judging , just saying. I’m an old soul, I like music that makes me feel things not music that helps me forget my feelings. I don’t know, as a curator and music enthusiast, studying the styles of music from the past has also really helped me understand the origins of certain trends, patterns and styles that occur in music today.
Hey guys, so as you guys may have noticed I’ve written extensively about #NuNairobi( the artistic revolution currently occurring in my city)- on this blog and on other publications as well. Well a few months ago I was approached with the idea to curate an event based on the #NuNairobi scene as it blows up and continues to manifest itself to the world . I was really skeptical because let’s be honest, I’m a lot of things but I wasn’t an event organizer; but after a period of thought I decided to give it a go! Anything that can help in the growth of the culture and scene seems not only worthwhile but necessary at this point in time.
Ok guys I know I’ve been slacking on the reviews, but that’s just because I’ve been super busy, and sick too. But I’ve also been listening to a lot of amazing music that I can’t wait to review so stay put okay ! Here’s another one of my lame playlists with some songs I’m into . Enjoy !! x
